SAM™ Antimicrobial Technology has the ability to integrate various agents to be a one-product solution, facilitating multiple steps across the wound healing process.
A fully synthetic and porous matrix composed of bioresorbable polymers, SAM™ immediately conforms to micro-textures of the wound with full transparency.
It facilitates a cytophilic, non-pyrogenic, moist wound-healing environment that allows for cells to attach, adhere, migrate and proliferate.
The matrix contains ionic and metallic silver at a low, non-toxic level, providing at least 72 hours of sustained, 99.99% reduction in microbial burden.
Microlyte® is indicated for:
Debridement and removal of necrotic tissue is recommended before matrix placement.
Published clinical data in the November 2020 edition of WOUNDS journal shows the clinical results of using Microlyte® for chronic wounds. Thirty-two patients with various chronic wounds were evaluated. All wounds were non-healing for a median of 39 weeks (range, 3-137 weeks).
The application of Microlyte® was safe and well tolerated, and it facilitated improvements in healing of a majority of the complex chronic wounds studied.
Available in a range of sizes to manage a wide variety of wound types, minimizing product waste. All products are sterile and individually packaged.
